Hunting area

The hunting ground of over 11.000 hectares of Látrány is situated in the geometrical centre of the southern shore of Lake Balaton, 37% forest, 50% farmland and 28-hectare wildland are an excellent habitat for huntable wild animals living in the area. Lake Balaton, which shimmers between the hills dominated by Turkey oaks from time to time, characterises the area. Successful driven hunts and battues make the hunting opportunities in the region more diverse. In the young forest the dominant species are red deer and wild boars. Besides hunting fur roe deer and male red deer, wild boar battues in winter are also of great importance in the area.
